Job Description: 

Job Purpose

This role carries two complementary mandates.
Sourcing & Assortment (70% - primary focus): Plan category development strategies, manage product assortments, and establish pricing policies to achieve revenue, profit margin, and market share targets. Ensure the balance between low cost of goods sold, an attractive product portfolio, and competitive market pricing.
Operation Management (30%): Lead the project's operation function - directing the Sales Admin and operation team across order fulfillment, inventory and warehouse management, and delivery - to ensure accurate, efficient, and on-time service delivery.

Job Description (Accountability)

A. SOURCING & ASSORTMENT (70%)
1. Category Planning & Strategic Assortment:
   - Assortment Architecture: Design an optimal product structure (Width & Depth) based on consumer insights, purchasing data, and seasonal trends.
   - Innovation & Portfolio Growth: Proactively identify and integrate new product categories or exclusive labels to drive market differentiation.
   - Product Lifecycle Management: Audit SKU performance to streamline the portfolio, managing the phase-out of slow-moving goods and the scaling of high-performers.
2. Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
   - Supplier Network Design: Define criteria for strategic partners who can offer high margins, exclusive products, or marketing support.
   - Negotiation: Directly handle major contract negotiations, focusing on trade terms, annual rebates, payment cycles, and exclusive distribution rights.
   - Performance Governance: Oversee the supplier evaluation framework and step in for critical corrective actions or partnership upgrades.
3. Strategic Pricing
   - Pricing Framework Development: Establish strategic pricing models across product segments (Entry-level/Traffic drivers, Core, and Premium) to influence consumer behavior and brand positioning.
   - Gross Margin Optimization: Analyze price elasticity to calibrate margins, ensuring the delivery of the department's profit mix targets.
   - Dynamic Pricing Oversight: Monitor market fluctuations and competitor pricing to execute real-time adjustments, safeguarding the company's competitive edge and bottom line.
   - Promotion Governance: Evaluate the financial viability of promotional activities, ensuring that sales growth is achieved without compromising long-term profitability or brand equity.
B. OPERATION MANAGEMENT (30%)
4. Fulfillment & Service Operations:
   - Oversee end-to-end order fulfillment (order processing, picking/packing, delivery scheduling) to ensure order accuracy and on-time delivery.
   - Supervise inventory and warehouse operations, ensuring stock accuracy, correct storage standards, and a safe, organized environment.
5. Process & SOP Management:
   - Design, standardize, and continuously improve operational workflows (SOPs) to raise efficiency, reduce cost, and minimize errors.
   - Monitor operational performance, identify bottlenecks across the fulfillment chain, and drive corrective actions.
6. Team Leadership & People Management:
   - Lead, coach, and develop the Sales Admin / operation team; assign workloads and manage day-to-day performance.
   - Set operational KPIs (e.g. fulfillment accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy), review results, and ensure service-level targets are met.

Competencies

Education Description

Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, or related fields.

Education (Max. 2 Major)

Experience

5 years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Commercial roles, including experience in operations management or team supervision (Retail or E-commerce experience preferred)
